The Construction Simulator 2014 is available for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. The Construction Simulator 2015 for PC and MAC is currently in development and will be released in the 3rd quarter of 2014.

The game works alright. But the game requires a lot from the lower devices. We recommend to reboot your device, after installing the app the first time. Additionally you should close all other apps properly on the iPhone 4/4s and the iPad 2/mini, before you play the “Construction Simulator”. Therefore make a double click with the “home” button and a list with all apps which are active in the background pops up. Press approx. 2 seconds on one of these apps until the symbols start shaking. Now close all apps except the “Construction Simulator” by clicking on the red “minus” symbol (Under iOS7 you simply have to move the listed Apps upwards instead). If you start the “Construction Simulator” again it should work without any problems.

If the game crashes while loading a mission and a restart doesn't help, exit the game and open the "Settings" for your device. In the folder "Construct'14" you will find an option called "Debug" which allows you to reset the current mission. Your profile, earned money, bought vehicles etc. remain untouched. After the debugging process the problem should be solved and you can restart the game.

Yes, if you uninstall the Construction Simulator 2014 from your device, all belonging app data and profiles (including your game progress, money, etc.) will be deleted too. Keep this in mind - this step should be done with care! If you want to delete the app because of any problems, please contact helpdesk@astragon.devia e-mail before you do so.

Yes. If you are using the same Apple-ID with which you have bought the game, you can install the app on different devices. Currently there is no option to sync your game profiles, so you have to start the game from the beginning on each device.

Just go to your app store and look for „Construction Simulator 2014“. Buy the app and install it on your device. Then just click on the icon and start the game.

In order to sync the game with Google Play Games you first need to log in via the G+ button located in the upper right corner of the profile selection screen. After a short space of time your data should show up in Google Play Games.

Sure, by investing real money you can buy ingame money (coins). Then you can release vehicles and building contractor missions faster. Therefore click on “bank” in your tablet menu and select a package which you would like to buy. This sale will be performed via your Apple ID and the coins will be added to the account of your current profile. If you have problems buying ingame money please contact helpdesk@astragon.de.

No, we choose a fair way. You bought the game and should not have to pay to play certain contents. You can release all vehicles and missions by simply playing the game; it just takes a little longer.

This vehicle has 2 different modes: the driving mode and the working mode. You can switch between these two modes by clicking on the round button showing the double arrow in the middle of the lower screen. To know in which mode the vehicle is, just look at its color: if it is in the driving mode the vehicle itself is yellow, if it is in working mode only the shovel is colored yellow. Driving Mode: The excavator is a track vehicle. That’s why you control the left and right track separately by using a slide control. If you slide both slide controls onwards (respectively backwards) the excavator goes forward (respectively backwards); if you operate only one slide control, only the according track will move and the excavator turns around accordingly. Working Mode: To control the excavator completely you need two control crosses. Therefore you use the two buttons on the left and right just like joysticks. At first it seems to be very complicated but it is just a question of practice. By means of the left control cross you can move the driver’s cab to the right and left, by means of the right control cross you can open and close the shovel. In addition to that both of the control crosses have another function: namely moving the joint up front and the whole cantilever arm. If you have activated the euro control in the “options” menu you open and close the joint up front by using the left control cross and by using the right control cross you move the whole cantilever arm up and down. If you did not activate the euro control then the control crosses work the other way around. Of course you can combine all movements. With just a little practice you can turn the driver’s cab, dig the shovel into the dirt and put the dirt into a container with just one fluent movement just like real excavator drivers. Have fun!

Now you just need to click on the button and the container is attached to the hook or not attached to the hook anymore.

If you press the “break” button long enough you can drive backwards. Connect trailer: Put the traction engine on your company site and get into the traction engine. Drive towards the trailer and then carefully backwards to the front site of the trailer. Once you are close enough the yellow button with the dot next to the speed display will light up (up till then it is greyed out). Click on the button once. The trailer is now connected. You will recognize this because all of a sudden on the left side of the screen there will appear a new button. By means of this button you can lift up and down the platform of the trailer. As soon as the platform is lifted down, you can load another vehicle on this trailer.

To use the dump truck you have to buy it first. As soon as you bought the dump truck you can play new missions. After buying the dump truck you should drop it on your company site. Now you need a loaded concrete mixer. Get into the vehicle, fill it if necessary in the gravel quarry and drive it to the back of the concrete pump. Place it in a way that the chute shows toward the container of the pump. If you are close enough to the container of the pump the concrete mixer automatically starts filling concrete into the pump. Now you can go back into the pump and switch on the pump via the symbol on the right next to the speed display. When the pump is switched on the pumping hose will automatically fold down. A yellow circle on the floor respectively on objects indicates where the hose is positioned. As soon as it is located over a correct position (e.g. over an excavation pit) concrete will come out of the hose automatically. You also will recognize it by looking at the ground which changes its color as soon as the fresh concrete is there. The bar above the speed display indicates how far you are in the pumping process.

To use the tower crane you have to buy it first. As soon as you bought the tower crane you can play new missions.

The tower crane cannot drive by itself. This is why the crane has to be brought to the place of action first (menu -> map -> click on target site -> delivery). Using the shovel: While driving, you can operate the shovel by means of the left control cross. Move the shovel up / down (control cross up / down) and change the tilt angle of the shovel to the ground (left / right). The bar below the money display shows how far you are with your current order for this vehicle.

The dump truck is used to transport e.g. spoil from the construction areas, e.g. dirt, stones and gravel to the gravel quarry. Additionally you release new missions when buying this vehicle. Using this vehicle you can transport e.g. pallets without using a forklift. In addition to that you can dump the transported items in heights where a forklift cannot reach e.g. on a flat roof. At first create a new profile. You can create up to 3 different profiles. Like this you can play with up to 3 different names on your device. Your profile name is also the name you will be called in the game. Please choose your profile now. After a short loading time, you will be on the courtyard of your construction company. There your colleague HaPe will help you and explain the game. Take your time and play the first tutorial. If you have some questions later during the game you can always choose the tutorials for all vehicles from your game internal tablet and play them again.

If one of your vehicles became stuck somewhere in the world and can not be reset using the normal "Reset" button at the top right of the screen, please open the "Vehicles" menu of your virtual Tablet and select the details of the corresponding vehicle. At the bottom right of the screen you will find an option called "Reset to company's premises". With the help of this function the vehicle can be transported back to your yard free of charge at any time you need.

You can activate the main menu by clicking on the construction helmet symbol on the upper left. Then a game internal tablet opens. That’s why we call the main menu also tablet menu. Now you can do all different things with it:

Tasks:Here you can find the tutorials for the different vehicles, requests (your jobs) and the building contractor projects. For all these points you will find a detailed description in this FAQ.

Map: The map does not only show you the games world. You can click on any yellow location symbol and the vehicle, which you drive at the moment, can be delivered there (for a little amount of play money, of course).

Vehicles: Buy new vehicles, drive them and place them on your company site.

Statistics & success: Here you can see your score. In addition you can see which special awards you have already released and which you can still find / perform.

Bank: Do you want to make progress in the game? Then you can buy coin packages by means of real money. You can get a small package for a quick success up to the luxury package which you can use to buy all vehicles at once as well as the building contractor license.

By clicking on the house symbol on the upper left you can always reach the main level. You can close the main menu again by clicking on the „power“ symbol on the lower middle.

Each button stands for a special function.

By clicking on the construction helmet on the upper left you can reach the main menu (also called tablet menu).

The „?“ on the right next to the construction helmet symbol opens your current order, if you need to look what you actually have to do.

By means of the camera symbol you can switch between three different views of the current vehicle. You can recognize the currently activated camera by the shown number: 1 stands for follower camera, 2 stands for free camera, 3 stands for bumper bar camera.

The circle arrow symbol with the truck in the middle resets your current vehicle back on the street respectively to the company site. If you are in the working mode the symbol changes its view and you can reset your vehicle to the original settings. This saves a lot of time e.g. when you need to fold up the concrete pump and so on.

By means of the „car“ symbol on the right side you can switch between the vehicles in your current truck fleet.

By clicking on the symbol below you can open the map. By pulling the map with the mouse arrow you can minimize or enlarge it. Your next target is marked green. A click on the opened map closes it again.

The rest of the buttons belong to the vehicle control and are explained there.

According to performance reasons this is not possible in the iOS version. Within the PC version you will have this possibility.

For all the vehicles, you have already released, are some tutorial missions provided. In the game they are called “tutorials”. They shall explain the basics of the vehicle control and missions, which are associated with the vehicles. You find them in the tablet menu under --> tutorials. We recommend always play all provided tutorials to get to know the game and its features the best way.

Requests are orders, which you perform by means of your vehicles to earn money. Each order can be separated in different tasks. To accept a request, switch to the tablet menu first and click on tasks -> requests. Here you can see some orders which you are able to perform with your current truck fleet. Each request is different, that’s why in the beginning some only contain of one, others of more tasks. The more vehicles you have the more challenging and extensive are the requests. You will know by the number of stars above the order.

In case you do not like one of the requests, just click on the circle arrow symbol on the upper left to see all new requests. Go on „details“ to look closer at a request. If you like this task, click on “accept order”; if you rather want to select another request, click on the arrow on the upper left.

A request contains of different tasks, for which you need different devices. Especially in the beginning you still have a very small truck fleet. Therefore other construction companies take over tasks which you are still not able to perform. Like this the order can be done. Depending on how much different tasks you play you can be temporary help or contractor. As all construction orders come up again, at one point you can manage them all by yourself. But even then it is possible that only smaller orders come up where you are only needed as subcontractor or temporary help. So it is your decision if you accept big or small orders.

At the beginning of the game you are a “trainee“ without experience. The more you play the more experience you have. Each tour with a vehicle, each filled excavator shovel, and so on, makes you more experienced. Of course it is also helpful to perform the tutorials. Once you have enough experience, you will switch from “trainee” to “assistant” and then again you must have enough experience to become “chief”, and so on.

You need this experience that you can perform building contractor projects later in the game. Therefore you have to be at least “building contractor“.

The experience levels are called:

By the way: If you often hire a laborer you will have less experience because another person does the job.

Yes, you can do that. Go to your tablet menu and click on “tasks”. On the lower part you can see your active order. Click on the button “details”. Now on the right side a list showing the single tasks of this order appears. You can see two buttons next to the current task: clicking on the left button you can start this task again in case something went totally wrong and you want to try it again. Clicking on the right button you can hire a laborer who finishes the rest of the task. If you hire a laborer you automatically go to the next task. By the way, you will also get the money for this task you earned until you hired the laborer. The laborer will get the rest of the money for the work he has done.

Click on tasks -> building contractor projects in the tablet menu and pay 100.000 Coins for the building contractor license! This is well invested play money because now you can acquire building rights for the different cantons of a city and realize big projects where you are the boss. Choose which projects you want to build, decide how it will look like and select the exact location. The most important thing is that these projects bring a lot of play money into your cash box.
